Each species of animal has different ways of gathering together, except for large wild cats which tend to live alone and seldom gather together. Each species refers to its gathering as something different, a gang, flock, pack, kingdom or council.

Gangs
A gang is a collection of domestic dogs, in other words just a pack of domestic dogs. Gangs live in the city and there are two major ones in White Falls. These gangs rule the city streets and are often at odds. One gang, the Highland Gang, consists of dogs that are owned by people. The second major gang is the Nightwalker Gang which consists of strays.
Councils
Councils refer to the feline aspect of things. Since wild cats seldom gather together, council is primarily referring to domestic cats that live in the city. Like the dog gangs, there are two major councils of cats that exist and are well founded in White Falls. The first is the Sparrow Council, a refined group of domestic housecats that despise strays and frown upon them. They often dwell alongside canines and get along relatively well with the Highland Gang if there is no other choice since many of their members live side by side in the same homes. The second major council is the Raven Council, a hodgepodge gathering of stray cats that are street smart and despise canines and housecats. Often these two councils wage war more often than any other collection of creatures.
Herds
Herds quite obviously refer to horses. There are two herds that exist near and around White Falls. The first is a herd of domestic, tame horses that live at the Whispering Ponies Stable in the outskirts of town. They are sophistocated, polite, patient, quiet animals that are quite harmonious. They get along well with the stray cats and dogs, often sharing their stables for the night, but find wild horses to be rude and mistrustful, though they seldom interact with them. The second herd is a herd of wild horses that roam around near Windbreaker Canyon. This herd is referred to as the Crescent Moon Herd, because the first wild horse to start the herd was an old show mare named Crescent Moon in Autumn.
Kingdoms
The birds of prey around White Falls have formed Kingdoms over the years. There are three primary kingdoms. The first is the Moon Kingdom, an owl kingdom. The second is the Skye Kingdom, a kingdom of falcons that lives in the forests of Mount Sora. The third kingdom is the Blackfeather Kingdom, a kingdom of hawks that frequent the state park and city. The Moon Kingdom is known to be recluse and quiet, keeping to themselves while the Skye Kingdom is more likely to pick a fight with the Blackfeather Kingdom.
Packs
Two major packs exist in the state park outside of White Falls. Each pack has two names, one given to it by the humans that run the park and another created by the pack. The first pack humans call the Red Ridge Pack while they call themselves the Stoneclaw Pack. They dwell mainly in the foothills and flourish in dense forest undergrowth. The second pack is referred to as the Spencer Lake Pack but really they call themselves the Myst Pack. They flourish on the slightly more open landscapes of the park's meadows.
